Star Capital Partners Limited, the UK based private equity firm, has acquired nextbike GmbH, the Germany based bike-sharing solutions provider, that provides public bike sharing schemes on behalf of public transport authorities, cities and public institutions, from Tier Mobility SE, the Germany based provider of micro-mobility solutions. As part of this carve-out transaction, Star Capital will become the majority shareholder and invest alongside the management team.
